Mi smo prvinski ljudje,
živimo v naravi,
z naravo,
za naravo,
živimo naravno življenje,
smo preprosti, veseli in ponosni.
Začutili smo svoje korenine
in spoznali, da je narava naš pravi dom.
Sprevideli smo zlaganost
tako imenovane civilizacije
in prepoznali duhovno globino
prvinskih ljudi – staroselcev –
ki jih sodobna civilizacija imenuje divjaki:
Indijancev, Aboridžinov in drugih.
Ko tudi drugi spoznajo,
da je narava njihov dom
in da jih naravno življenje izpolnjuje,
jih pozdravimo:
»Pozdravljeni zopet doma, bratje in sestre!«
Zakaj bi se afnali,
pretvarjali, skrivali, sramovali,
zakaj bi se prepirali in tekmovali
in se primerjali z drugimi?
Bodimo takšni, kakršni smo.
Ničesar se nam ni treba sramovati,
kajti vsako bitje je
po svoji pravi naravi prekrasno
in vredno vse ljubezni.
Ho!
We are the tribal people.
We are simple people.
We are who we are.
We don't pretend to be somebody else.
We are not ashamed of who we are.
We are natural.
The earth is our mother.
She gives us everything.
She gives us life.
We are a part of her.
Why pretend to be somebody else?
Why pretend to think something else?
Why pretend to feel something else?
We are who we are,
naked under the sun,
barefoot on the face of our mother,
at night we rest in her lap,
in daytime we work, play and dance
upon her beautiful body
and she is happy,
and the sun, our father, is smiling.
We are the happy people.
We celebrate life.
We are sad people.
We cry when we see how our mother
is being destroyed.
We are angry also,
but we don't destroy and kill from anger,
because we love all living creatures:
stones, plants, animals, people, angels and
all spirits and everything that is,
because they are all our brothers and sisters.
We are one with all life.
Ho!
